Embedded Pod

Your roadmap. Senior engineering. Sustained delivery.

Executive summary

The pod in brief

The short version, for whoever signs off.

  • 01 · Who's on it

A senior engineer and an AI architect, named before the engagement begins.

  • 02 · How it's run

Team composition and capacity are agreed upfront. Priorities reset monthly.

  • 03 · Where it works

In your repositories, your cloud, and your tracker, with working hours that overlap yours, agreed upfront.

  • 04 · How it ends

Thirty days' notice to end the engagement.

How a pod works

The same rules on every pod.

  1. You set the priorities.

A named product owner on your side sets them each month and approves each specification.

  2. Your tracker, not ours.

If you work in Jira or Linear, the pod works there too.

  3. Six gates on every change.

Nothing is released until it has passed them (see the six gates).

  4. Two people on anything sensitive.

A change that touches money, authentication, personal data, or data deletion has an author and an independent reviewer, whatever an AI review said.

  5. A release every week.

The standard is at least one production release a week.

In practice

From discovery to a pod.

The digital health engagement began as discovery and continued as an Embedded Pod. The mobile app was rebuilt and released to the App Store in 12 weeks, and it has had a release every week since. Read the case study.
